Grimes wanted to recover real estate Meacham gave him in consideration for other work. This was done by verbal contract, and Grimes took possession of & fenced the Meacham lots. In return, Grimes built 2 houses for Meacham but still did not have a written agreement. Meacham claimed that Grimes did not take possession of the lots w/i seven years. Court ruled in Meacham's favor, but Grimes comes forward w/heretofore unknown witnesses who can testify that he did in fact take possession of the property.
