Martin bought a 1936 Chevrolet from Condry. Because Martin had no money to make a down payment, Burl Gregory & Eric Kidd signed a $100 note for him to make a down payment. Martin used the car sometime but was thrown out of work due to the strike at the Aluminum Company of America plant. He returned the car w/the understanding that Condry should hold it for Martin. (Burl's name also spelled Burrell Gregory.)
