A Union & a Rebel company were camping near Girdner's house. Walker was Capt. of the Union company. Walker, along with a Capt. Rumbaugh entered Girdner's house, verbally abusing him. Girdner left his house with Joseph Holt of the Southern Greys, whose aim was to capture Union soldiers, forcing them to pledge allegiance to the South. Dave Fry is mentioned as having burned local bridges, also Reuben Davis, & General Caswell. The suit seeks to recover $10k in damages.
