Notes / Description:

William H. Williams complained that his wife Marietta was guilty of "the grossest [sic] and most fearful infidelity and charges that…she has been guilty of repeated acts of adultry [sic] with one F. R. Alison" and others. Mary, who was pregnant, denied it and claimed that William's sinister motive was to trick her into divorce by using Alison's supposed presence in her bedroom. She counter-charged William with fornication with another woman he planned to marry.
