Wallace brought suit against Henry Hannum in 1835. Claimed to own lots in Maryville occupied by Hannum. Hannum claimed to be renting property from James White of Virginia. Court ruled in favor of Wallace. Supreme Court reversed decision & remanded case back to circuit court for retrial in 1839. Hannum died in 1845 & case was continued by his widow, Ann Eliza Hannum. Also names heirs: James, Ellen, Francis, William Alexander, & Kathleen Hannum. |

Terry got judgment from justice of the peace against Hamon for $36 debt. Hamon filed petition in Circuit Court arguing the judgment was illegal as it was based on a verbal assumpsit. Court ruled in Terry's favor & Hamon appealed to Supreme Court. |

Dispute relates to Baker's delivery of near 18,000 feet of lumber to Defendants for them to sell or deliver back to Baker, and Baker's allegations that Defendants negligently damaged the lumber. |
