Frobaugh, plaintiff, and Jones, defendant, had been in suit in which decree was pronounced in favor of Jones for $1770.60 and cost of suit. Cost of suit was paid in full and $1256.06 of decree was paid-the remainder was offset by several judgments in favor of Frobaugh against Jones. Frobaugh supposed debt satisfied. Frobaugh now wants stay of execution because Supreme Court did not deduct amount due Frobaugh from Jones from the amount decreed to him against Jones. |

They agreed to pay him a the end of 12 months the amount of capital invested in the business during the 12 month period. They paid him the taxes due but Mathes said they owed a license tax as well, equal to the amount already paid. |

Complainants sold a piece of land to someone named McLemore. McLemore did not fully pay for the land. In need of money, the plaintiffs borrowed $1800 from Boyle, the defendant, with agreement to pay back $2000 on a certain date. Since McLemore didn't pay plaintiffs , they couldn't pay the defendants. Somehow the defendants gained possession of the tract of land initially bought by McLemore and sold it for cheap to get their money owed by Hartley. Hartley is upset, saying the land was worth more. |

Execution levied against Gallathan will be taken out of Plaintiff's property and they feel the execution is unjustified based on dealings of the plaintiff. |

The Board of Education is that of Memphis City Schools. Michael Joyce rented the Board of Education a "municipal corporation chartered under the laws of the state of Tennessee…for a term of one year." The Board of Education used the premises as a city school. They often paid Joyce in 'script'. Joyce would sell the script to get his money but it often would not bring full value due to the fluctuating gold price. The board was supposed to make up the difference. He sued for money owed. |
